Is this a good fit for small Shopify stores or startups?
No. We build for Shopify stores with 500–3000 SKUs and $300k+ annual revenue. If you're early-stage, on a lightweight theme, or using a few basic apps, Shopify is still the right tool. We step in when Shopify becomes a constraint, not a convenience.
Why not just upgrade to Shopify Plus?
Shopify Plus removes some commercial limits, but not architectural ones. You still don't own the stack, app dependency remains, and performance ceilings stay. VOKKA replaces the platform itself—so you control performance, data, and roadmap without vendor lock-in.
Who is this built for?
Shopify non-Plus brands with 500–3000 SKUs, complex catalogs, and growing app dependency. Most teams come when performance, variant limits, or admin workflows start slowing revenue.
Will our SEO tank during migration?
No. Your URL structure is mirrored or 301-mapped, metadata/schema preserved, and pre-launch crawl + redirect test run. Traffic cutover is a DNS switch with zero downtime—revenue stays live throughout launch.
How long does migration take?
30 days is the standard delivery window for storefront + admin + migration, assuming timely approvals and access to data.
Do we lose any Shopify apps?
App features you need are rebuilt natively (search/filter, reviews, subscriptions, bundles, loyalty, upsells). Expect 8–20 apps removed and $300–$1K/mo saved.
Is there downtime at launch?
No. The build happens in parallel, data is synced, final QA is run, then DNS switches. Users stay live during cutover.
Can it handle 3000+ SKUs and variants?
Yes. Catalog/search/filtering are built for 500–3000 SKUs (and beyond), with custom variant logic, faceted search, and caching tuned for your data.
How do you handle checkout?
You can keep Shopify checkout via Storefront API or move to Stripe/Adyen. Taxes, shipping rules, and discounts stay consistent with your ruleset.
Can you integrate ERP/OMS/3PL?
Yes. APIs and jobs are designed for ERP/OMS/3PL sync (inventory, pricing, orders). Integrations are defined in your scope.
What about analytics and tracking?
GA4/Pixel + server events are instrumented with custom tracking for filters, search, and funnel steps. You keep full observability.
Who owns the code?
You do. 100% code ownership after payment. No platform lock-in, no ongoing platform fees.
What’s the hosting cost?
Typically $150–$400/mo (cloud + CDN + DB + monitoring) depending on traffic and catalog size. Everything runs in your accounts for transparency.
What’s the payment model?
Fixed project fee as scoped (see Pricing), typically milestone-based. No recurring platform fee.
Support after launch?
Optional support/retainer or handoff. Infra, monitoring, and deploy pipelines are documented so your team can own it if preferred.
How do you secure data?
TLS everywhere, least-privilege access, DB backups, logging/monitoring, and separation of environments. No third-party data resale.
Do we keep our existing design?
Up to you. Your brand system can be mirrored or redesigned for performance and conversion. Components are custom, not theme-bound.
Do you support subscriptions and bundles?
Yes. Subscriptions, bundles, BOGO, and complex promos are built natively per your rules—no third-party app dependency.
How do we manage content?
Custom admin tailored to your workflow (collections, landing pages, promos). Bulk editing, pricing rules, and approvals included as needed.
